Pure oat flour – fibre, minerals and mysterious avenatramides
Ground oat grain contains many valuable substances. First of all, it contains a large portion of fibre. In oat flour there is a lot of beneficial fats and antioxidants, as well as vitamins and minerals. Among vitamins, the most important are vitamin B and E, whereas among minerals, manganese, magnesium, copper and selenium are worth mentioning. Another interesting ingredient of oat flour are avenatramides, whose name comes from the Latin name of oats – avenasativa. Avenatramides are exceptionally strong antioxidants, necessary to keep the body in good health.
Whole wheat flour
It is primarily a source of high amounts of protein, dietary fibre and vitamins B, K, D and E. It is also a treasury of elements which are necessary for the proper functioning of the body, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and sulphur. These ingredients nourish the body, ensuring a long-lasting feeling of satiety, regulate the function of the digestive and nervous systems, improving brain function and having a positive effect on concentration. High content of potassium and magnesium positively influences the work of heart and circulatory system, protecting against atherosclerosis and heart diseases. Iron and calcium protect against anaemia and strengthen bones. Sulphur, like vitamin E, has a beneficial effect on the skin.
Wholemeal maize flour
The biggest advantage of maize flour is that it is easy to digest. Corn also provides selenium, which is seldom found in food and is essential for proper thyroid function and high immunity. Cornmeal also contains zeaxanthin, which has an antioxidant effect, but also has a positive effect on the quality of vision. In combination with the vitamin A present in the product, it protects the eyes against glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Maize flour has a slightly sweet taste and will certainly appeal to horses and all lovers of healthy food.
Linseed oil
It is the only vegetable oil in which we can find significant amounts of omega-3 unsaturated acids, important for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Apart from them, we can also find omega-6 acids and small amounts of saturated acids. Regular consumption of flaxseed oil strengthens the heart, adds energy, increases the body’s resistance and helps achieve hormonal balance. The horse’s mood also improves and the unsaturated fatty acids contained in linseed oil have a positive effect on the psyche . The consumption of linseed treasure is recommended to improve the condition of hooves, skin and coat.
